CSUSM for Quality Education
Today I'm attending a board meeting at CSU San Marcos to collaborate and put together an organization for the students on campus in regards to the budget cuts.
In case you're not aware, all the California State Universities have undergone another major budget cut by nearly $18 billion dollars. Students who have returned this Fall have classes with more students, scant resources, and fewer teachers and classes. Not to forget the 30% tuition increase per semester. Look at it from the professors point of view: they now have a 10% reduced salary, more students, and no grader provided. They're also asked to take Furlough Days (which they're unable to contact or work on certain days in the semester), and not allow students to crash into the courses they need.
Capitol Weekly also published an article describing the effect on California Education.
And Karen Haynes, President of CSUSM, couldn't have been clearer in her article to the North County Times.
We need support from all over, and fund a campaign to reach voices from students and professors and deliver it to Sacramento. California is losing money and has to cut certain funds, but cutting from education is a short-term solution that will affect the long-term future of students and graduates. We already have a high unemployment rate and the most expensive cost of living, and now they want college students and professors to deal with the budget cuts.
Save your education. Voice out.

I’ve been influenced by some friends and family to start writing articles about experiences that I’ve had with them. There are multiple articles that I’m currently working on at once; though, an advice from a previously blogger recommended me to focus on one topic at a time. I depend on quality more than speed, and I feel the information delivered in one setting isn’t worth publishing and rewriting later on.
I’ve changed the way I think when it comes to learning about new things. I’m always seeking newer opportunities and contributing to organizations that support a good cause. A big advice: It’s not about what you know; it’s about how you’re able to apply it that makes it useful. Rather than being the guy who talks, I’m the guy who takes action. Whether these blogs or articles that I write can be applied or not, the information shared can generally relate to a problem we face today. These problems are opportunities to keep the world away from greed, and continue to improve our lives worry-free. At least that’s my goal. If it seems impossible, maybe it’ll influence others to pick up where I felt off, or start something new.
We have to take in account that everything we do is always evolving into a learning experience. Apply what you know, and the world will depend on you.
